NORTHAMPTON - A Worcester man charged in connection with a drug-related kidnapping in Belchertown earlier this year denied the charges in Hampshire Superior Court, Tuesday, and remains jailed on $1 million bail.
Tycollo R. Graham, 29, pleaded innocent to charges of armed kidnapping to extort, assault and battery, carrying a dangerous weapon (firearm) without a license, possession of ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm, three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon (double-edged knife and firearm) and conspiring to obtain a controlled substance.
At a hearing for co-defendant Cameron C. Andrade earlier this week, Assistant Northwestern District Attorney Michael A. Cahillane said that Graham invited an unnamed victim to a house on Federal Street in Belchertown on Oct. 1, where he was allegedly handcuffed, beaten and threatened with various weapons. Cahillane went on to say that Graham and four other co-defendants were involved in a marijuana distribution organization, and the victim was lured to the residence to be held until he could furnish money he owed them.
Graham is scheduled to reappear in court on March 27 for a pre-trial hearing.
